Project Summary:
KCS Building Group expanded a public works facility to accommodate the town’s growing fleet of municipal vehicles and equipment. This project added three large wings, providing dedicated spaces for parking, repairs, maintenance, and washing for vehicles such as garbage trucks, fire trucks, snowplows, and police cars. The expansion transformed the facility into a centralized hub for operations, replacing the previous setup, which relied on outdoor parking.

The town needed to expand their public works facility to provide adequate space for storing, maintaining, and servicing their municipal vehicles and equipment. The expansion required specialized features, including a wash bay for cleaning large vehicles and designated areas for repairs and maintenance, all housed under one roof to improve functionality and efficiency.
What We Did:
KCS Building Group added three wings to the existing structure, creating expansive areas tailored to the needs of the public works department. We worked closely with the client to address challenges, such as constructing a creative firewall solution to meet safety codes and seamlessly integrate the new additions with the existing building. Our team designed the space to handle large vehicles and heavy equipment while ensuring operational efficiency.
